Once you have returned to Québec, you may request a new licence if your current licence has been expired or cancelled for fewer than 3 years, or you can exchange your licence issued elsewhere in Canada or in another country for a Québec licence.

You have to retake and pass the (knowledge test and road tests) to obtain the requested class of licence.

Step 2 – Go to the service outlet that was designated when you scheduled your appointment to take the knowledge test, and then take the road test, if applicable

Step 3 – Pay the test fees

kowledge test, all classes: $11.20
road tests:
- Class 1, 2 or 3: $11.20 (pre-trip inspection) and $55.75 (driving a heavy vehicle)
- class 5: $28.00
- class 6: $28.00 (closed track road test) and $100.50 (road test)

Step 4 – Pay the licence fees (if you passed the tests)
